BMW 7-Series 760iL.

BMW 7-Series 760iL received a serious upgrade package from the German specialists – Tuningwerk. The long wheelbase version of the model is boosted to whopping 720PS (530 kW) and 1090Nm (804 lb-ft) of torque.
The performance is rather impressive – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (218 mph). More is better, but in terms of power, but the weight has been reduced for maximum performance.
The huge car is 120 kg lighter than the original version thanks to some carbon fiber parts including lightweight carbon-ceramic brakes and a new sport BMW exhaust system. The total weight of the car is 2030 kg.
The price is hefty, too. Tuningwerk BMW 7-Series 760iL costs €198 000, which is decent for such comfort and speed. This is the fastest full-size luxury car on the planet.

2012 BMW 7-Series.

The 2012 BMW 7-Series ranks 6 out of 11 Super Luxury Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 41 published reviews and test drives of the BMW 7-Series, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Reviewers love the 2012 BMW 7-Series for its nimble handling and comfortable interior, but say the 7-Series’ cabin isn’t quite as luxurious as other super luxury cars.
For 2012, the BMW 7-Series continues to balance comfort with an engaging driving experience. Three engine choices are available in the 7-Series, including a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine in 740i and 740Li models. While standard V8 powerplants are common among super luxury cars, test drivers say there’s no need to avoid six-cylinder 7-Series if you’re concerned about power. Edmunds says it's just as quick from zero to 60 mph as a Lexus LS.
Still, if you’re shopping for a sedan with ample power, BMW offers turbocharged V8 and V12 engines that make the 7-Series accelerate just as well as it handles. Most reviewers also approve of BMW’s Driving Dynamics Control, which allows ride control and steering adjustments that range from “Comfort” to “Sport +”. Still, shoppers looking for a car with a posh, serene ride should be aware that the 7-Series is more of a driver’s car than some of its rivals.
What would you say the 7 Series is known for? Performance? Comfort? Style? There’s probably a good chance it’s a combination of all three and that’s fine. It’s what makes it special. But to those who drive it, they like to get even more involved, throw in even more detail to make their presence known. A BMW 7 Series Grill is almost always the answer, and CARiD.com has the selection you need that brightens up the entire picture. The luxurious accents that ignite intrigue and individuality are always on tap right here. From names like Asanti®, Giovanna™, and Race Mesh, the world class quality for BMW 7 Series Grills isn’t just met – it’s exceeded. Throw in CARiD.com’s discount prices and you have a recipe for success. When it’s time for you to knock on some front-end fashion, your BMW Grill is our first priority.

2011 BMW 750Li ActiveHybrid.

2011 BMW 750Li ActiveHybrid, an AutoWeek Drivers Log Car Review.
This 2011 BMW 750Li ActiveHybrid is a weird car. Well, the drivetrain is weird at least. The herky-jerkiness of the hybrid system is disconcerting. Like the Lexus LS hybrid, applying the brake seems to make the car actually pick up speed for a second before the car starts to slow down--the brakes are inconsistent at best. Then, press the gas after sitting at a light, and there's a definite hesitation.
This car is hard to drive smoothly in stop-and-go traffic. It's not as bad as the big Lexus, but somewhat disconcerting nonetheless.
Once under way it drives fine, like any other7-series. Acceleration is more than brisk (after that initial hesitation), and the rolling kickdown when one stomps on the gas is impressive, to say the least. The thing is fast. And on the road it's nimble and light on its feet for such a big luxury boat. Of course, it's silent and smooth--and fast--on the freeway
The interior is huge and comfortable and the build quality is up among the best in the business.
Every driver notices the switch. What starts off as a breeze turns into a howl. You go from effortlessly cruising down the highway to careening in and out of your lane. Wind Deflectors cut down the airstreams and raindrops that hamper your daily travels. CARiD offers a terrific selection of Side Window Deflectors that make driving during blustery weather more manageable than ever. All of our BMW Rain Deflectors come from brand names like WeatherTech® and PUTCO® to guarantee top-quality unmatched anywhere else. Easy installation with a smooth custom fit make Wind Deflectors a "must have" for all!

BMW LED Taillights.

Since its introduction for the 1978 model year, the BMW 7 Series luxury sedan has remained true to its original character. It's the BMW flagship, and this full-size, rear-wheel-drive sedan has always represented the pinnacle of technology and luxury accoutrements in the German automaker's lineup. As such, it's an obvious choice for wealthy car buyers seeking a spacious and elegant sedan with a high level of curbside prestige.
There's a fair amount of competition even in this elite vehicle class, but the 7 Series sedan's athletic handling dynamics have long set it apart, starting with the early 733s and carrying through to the five present-day 7 Series models. While other manufacturers have been content to build high-end sedans with soft, serene rides, BMW engineers its 7s to engage their drivers on an emotional level. There are a few recent contenders that have gone after this emotional engagement, but the BMW 7 Series remains a prime luxury sedan for people who like to drive.
BMW and Euro Tail Lights are like apple and pie – they just seem to go together. At CARiD.Com, we recognize the need for exotic radiance and our selection of BMW Custom Tail Lights proves it! Inside our catalog of BMW Custom Taillights you’ll catch a glimpse at all the latest styles and classic favorites that give the back-end of your Beemer a splash of distinctive color. Choose from BMW Euro Tail Lights, Crystal Clear, Red Clear, Bermuda Black, and more. BMW Custom Taillights come in pairs and are guaranteed to provide a precise OEM fit. Installation isn’t a drawn out process: BMW Custom Tail Lights are “plug & play.” Simply remove your OEM lamps and insert the colorfully classy BMW LED Tail Lights right in their place!
BMW LED Taillights shine brighter and last many times longer than typical OEM bulbs or replacements. LED “dots” radiate with much more strength and exhibit a concise band of light as opposed to the dull reds and ambers factory tail lights normally provide. The safety and fashion of BMW LED Taillights is always a hot commodity and CARiD has it right here for you at the best prices around. BMW Euro Tail Lights bring an instant lift in style that is sassy, expressive, and attractive. Plus, the quality of light stands on its own. With BMW, you’re used to superiority. Why change now?

BMW ActiveHybrid.

The Internal Revenue Service certified that the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 qualifies for up to a $900 tax credit under the Alternative Motor Vehicle provision. This serves as yet another endorsement for the BMW EfficientDynamics strategy.
The ActiveHybrid 7 combines an electric motor with BMW’s much-praised 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and new 8-speed automatic transmission to accelerate from 0 – 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds while delivering impressive EPA fuel economy estimates of 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, a near 18 percent improvement over the non-hybrid 750i/Li. The ActiveHybrid 7 features Engine Start/Stop to avoid wasteful engine idling in stop-and-go driving and at traffic lights. The powerful lithium-ion battery enables systems like the radio, Bluetooth phone connection and air-conditioning to continue running when the engine is off. Its compact size minimizes the impact on luggage capacity.
The standard and long-wheelbase versions of the ActiveHybrid 7 become the fourth and fifth BMW models to qualify for the Alternative Motor Vehicle Tax Credit, joining the ActiveHybrid X6 and BMW’s Advanced Diesel 335d Sedan and X5 xDrive35d.

BMW News.

Exclusive: BMW developing customizable LCD gauges for refreshed 5 and 7 Series models. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has had one for a few years, and Jaguar-Land Rover recently fitted units to its all-new XJ and updated Range Rover. Now BMW is getting ready to offer its own fully configurable LCD gauge cluster on the next-generation 5 Series and 7 Series models.
Co-developed in Munich and BMW's Technology Office in Mountain View, CA, the new gauge cluster will display the standard dials for speed, revs, fuel and temp, but can be configured to show additional navigation, telematics and infotainment data depending on the driving mode. Comfort and Sport settings will tailor the display to suit conditions, possibly placing the tachometer front-and-center in Sport mode, along with providing shift lights and other more driver-centric information.
A BMW engineer we spoke with made it clear that BMW doesn't want to rely on digital representations of analog gauges. Instead, the automaker is looking at the display as a blank canvas with which it can display a variety of information in an innovative way. However, while consumer customization will be available, BMW believes that keeping the user-tweakability to a minimum is key for ease-of-use and general readability.
Expect the new dash to appear on the refreshed 5 and 7 Series within the next two years.

2011 BMW 7-Series.

BMW's latest flagship sedan comes in a variety of flavors, ranging from the base 740i turbocharged V6 model rated at 315 horsepower, to the V8 750i, powered by BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbo, which first appeared under the hood of the new X6. Rated at 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbocharged V8 will be powering the 750i and 750Li models, in both traditional two wheel drive and BMW's new xDrive (AWD) versions.
The 760i will find its forward and reverse motion from an eight-speed automatic transmission.
For the latest model year onward, BMW is raising the stakes with a 535 hp, 6.0-liter, turbocharged V12 powering the 760Li. For the 760Li the sticker price will begin at $136,600. This makes the 760Li the only large luxury sedan in at this price point available with a V12 in the US market.
Compared with the outgoing model, the new 7-Series sedan grows by 5.5 inches at the wheelbase. The European market also has a choice of a 3.0-liter twin turbo diesel delivering 242 hp and 399 lb-ft and the familiar twin-turbo gasoline 3.0-liter inline-six upgraded to 315 horsepower and 330 lb-ft. A six-speed automatic transmission will be mated to the V8 engine, with the shifter moved from the steering column back to the center console.
The new 7-Series will roll on 18-inch alloy wheels shod in all-season run-flat tires in a 245/50R18 size. Two styles of 19-inch wheels with performance-oriented rubber will be optional.
Weight-saving measures have shaved about 120 lbs thanks largely to increased use of aluminum in the body as compared to the previous generation car despite the new car carrying more standard equipment. Another detail change meant to improve fuel consumption by reducing drag is a flap in the grille that eliminates unneeded airflow.
Four-wheel steering will be included on the 7-Series option list, along with an all-wheel drive option known as xDrive. With the four-wheel steering system the rear wheels will turn in the opposite direction as the front ones at speeds below 35 mph, and will turn up to three degrees in the same direction as speeds climb above that.
A new active chassis management system BMW calls IMS will give users the choice of Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport Plus settings, changing settings such as shock settings, steering effort, gear change speed and smoothness, and the sensitivity of the stability control system.
A new active chassis management system BMW calls IMS will give users the choice of Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport Plus settings, changing settings such as shock settings, steering effort, gear change speed and smoothness, and the sensitivity of the stability control system.
A new night vision system promises to increase safety for pedestrians. The new system will be able to detect human presence in front of the vehicle and then flash a warning symbol on the display. Moreover, the system will be able to tell if a pedestrian is in the road or safely on the sidewalk, although it's not clear how the system can differentiate the two.
The new system is so advanced, it's also able to read speed limit signs and warn drivers when they are driving too fast. However, this feature will only be available in Europe for the time being. A lane departure warning system will notify drivers of cars in their blind spots via a vibrating steering wheel and a message on the dashboard-mounted screen, which now grows to 10.2 inches from 8.8.

The big BMW will also be keeping an eye on your speed during inclement weather. The camera can detect fog or rain, and will warn drivers when they are approaching an unsafe speed. Despite the warning, the system has no control over the speed of the vehicle so those with lead feet need not worry.

2011 BMW 7 Series.

The 2011 Detroit Auto Show is proving to be more eventful for BMW than the automaker had originally intended. As workers were preparing to load a
BMW 7 Series onto a transport truck near Detroit's Westin Book Cadillac hotel, a pair of thieves jumped in and drove off with the German luxury sedan. The car is said to be worth $140,000, and as of this writing, local police have had no luck tracking down the stolen vehicle. Thankfully, this 7 Series is equipped with BMW Assist, which locates a vehicle if it's stolen, so it's only a matter of time before cops close in on the BMW bandits.
If some brand-new 7 Series parts wind up on Craigslist's Detroit-area 'for sale' section, we're willing to bet the sale price is too-good-to-be-true for a reason.

The optimised MANSORY 760 Li accelerates from 0 to 60 miles an hour in only 4,2 seconds and is therefore 0,4 seconds faster than its serial counterpart.

BMW 7-Series Accessories.

Super-Luxury BMW 7-series Limousine in wonderf...Image by UggBoy♥UggGirl [ PHOTO : WORLD : SENSE ] via FlickrOne of the most visible luxury full-size sedans around, the BMW 7-Series has been a fixture in its segment since the late 1970s. Originally outfitted with an inline-six-cylinder engine, the first edition of the 7-Series provided peppy performance along with a cushy, luxurious package. The inaugural generation of the BMW 7-Series was produced for a decade, during which time it saw several updates and adjustments without being completely overhauled. The second run of the 7-Series made its way onto American roadways in 1988 with both a regular and extended wheelbase (the latter of which was for an increase in legroom). The primary base engine was a 3.4L inline six-cylinder good for 208 horsepower directed through either a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual. Trims were the 735i and 735iL. In 1993, a bolder 4.0L V8 capable of 282 horsepower was introduced into the lineup, replacing the previous inline six-cylinder. It also gave way to both the 740i and 740iL, respectively. However, the model that made the most noise was the 750iL, BMW’s first V12-equipped model. The 750iL pumped out 296 horsepower geared to a four-speed automatic transmission. BMW 7-seriesImage by Ed Callow [ torquespeak ] via Flickr
The third generation of the BMW 7-Series rolled off the line and into showrooms in time for the 1995 model year. The regular wheelbase was the 740i while the longer wheelbase was branded as either the 740iL or 750iL. Both “740” models were outfitted with a 4.4L V8 engine good for up to 282 horsepower, as before. The 750iL was given a bit of a boost, as it was now equipped with a 5.4L V12 engine which showcased 326 horsepower, an increase of about 30 hp over the previous 750. All engines across the board were geared to a five-speed automatic transmission. In 2002, fourth-generation versions of the 7-Series made their way onto the road. A sleeker, more aggressive exterior design was ordered and a bevy of changes were made elsewhere, as well. Long wheelbase models were the 750Li and 760Li. 750i and 750Li variants displayed a 4.8L V8 (360 hp). The 760Li churned out 438 horsepower behind a 6.0L V12. From 2004 to 2006, a short wheelbase 760i was produced. The base engine was a 4.4L V8 capable of approximately 325 horsepower. All engines were mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.BMW 7 SeriesImage by cbmd via Flickr

Three models were offered with the arrival of the fifth generation BMW 7-Series: 750i, 750Li, and 760Li. Both the 750i and 750Li received a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that got credit for delivering 400 horsepower along with 450 pounds-per-foot of torque directed through a six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive as standard (xDrive all-wheel drive was made available as an option). At the top of the BMW 7-Series lineup was the 760Li which presents a 6.0L V12 engine (535 horsepower and 550 pounds-per-foot of torque). 760Li models were mated to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and could not be obtained with all-wheel drive. Various features of the model also included leather upholstery, wood trim, adjustable power front-seats, a night-vision camera, a side-view camera, and BMW’s iDrive electronic interface system.

One of BMW's specialties has always been providing drivers with the comfort, image, and performance that always stands alone. A remarkable example of BMW's intuitiveness, the 7 Series has always come equipped with the performance ability and luxury features that make the company what it is: a powerhouse.
